Why Skinnify Is Becoming Stride

When I founded Skinnify with my mom, it started with something very personal.

Growing up, I saw how much my mom sacrificed for our family. Between raising me and my siblings and everything that came with it, she had less and less time for herself.

Fitness took a back seat, and over the years, she gained weight and no longer felt like herself.

When I got older, I started to understand just how much she had given up for us. And I wanted to create something that could help.

That idea became our first Resistance Band Leggings, leggings with built-in resistance designed to make your muscles work harder with every step.

The original goal was simple: help my mom turn the movement she was already doing into something more, burn more calories, and make it easier to get back in shape.

And that's where Skinnify came from.

 

But something changed along the way.

As more and more women started wearing our products, we realized they were getting much more out of them than simply trying to become “skinny.”

They told us about feeling stronger.

Feeling more supported.

Moving more.

Becoming more confident.

And, most importantly, feeling like they were making progress.

Our products evolved, too.

What started with resistance technology is becoming something much bigger. We're developing clothing designed to do more for your body, helping you move better, feel better, and look better.

And we realized our name needed to evolve with us.

We don't want to be a brand that tells women they need to be skinny. We want to be a brand that helps women move forward.

 

That's why Skinnify is becoming Stride.

A stride is a step forward.

That's exactly what we want our brand to stand for.
